The Talking Star and Constellation Navigator. Not sure just how useful this talking guide is, but anything that makes those star things more understandable to us earth bound morons is good by us. $69.95.
This device verbally guides those with no prior astronomy experience in finding and identifying 56 constellations, 66 stars, and 33 deep-sky objects. After determining the month, date, and hour of your observation using the rotating perimeter wheel, and selecting Find or Identify, the device verbally prompts you to load one of 20 star map inserts that show the constellations visible from mid-northern latitudes. An innovative tracking system orients you to the proper location for viewing, and two adjustable lights illuminate the star map; blue reveals the Zodiacal figures of each constellation, and red lights reveal the names of stars, deep sky objects, and the lines that connect them to create the constellation.
