Japanese giant NEC has just launched a ‘boxless’ silent PC which it claims is the most eco-friendly machine on the market. The PowerMate Eco has no fan, no lead in the motherboard and no boron in its 15″ LCD display.

I also think it looks kind of cool too, which makes me wonder whether this could be the kind of box to eventually and successfully invade the living room.
