The Non-Stop Train – detachable docking compartment takes the strain

Nonstoptrain

The Non-Stop Train concept is quite an interesting idea. Instead of the train halting at every stop, it continues through stations while detaching and collecting a transit compartment for people who want to get on and off. The video explains it better than I can. The interesting thing is that the infrastructure costs could be relatively small, although as with anything complex, there’s always more scope for things to go wrong.

  • interesting… they used to do something like this in the uk with the old trains, they’d detach the last carriage when it was aproaching the station and hope that it would have enough force to roll up to the platform but often it would not and the train would have to come back and pick it up. lol.

  • Would you please send me video recording of non-stopped and having detachable passenger compartment train.
    Thanks a lot…Sincerely yours..
