The Snow Cycle is the tricycle of skis

The Snow Cycle
During the summer, we have a million different ways to get somewhere, because roads and sidewalks aren’t iced-over strips of death. While it can be hard to trek around during this season, bicycle lovers are particularly at a loss during the winter, as they really don’t want to travel on ice or overly salted areas. What would you do if you found a way to ride a bicycle in the snow without injuring yourself and others due to slipping?

The Snow Cycle is a sit-ski that will let you careen down a hillside with ease. Of course, you can only do this on the slopes, so for those of you wanting to slide down Main Street, proceed with caution. You’ll need alpine ski boots or snowboarding boots to lock in, which will give you extra stability for gliding and turns. There’s an adjustable seat, a elastomer/spring suspension that will help you to start turns, and the t-bar will help you steer. It’ll be just like a trike, except on snow, and going a whole lot faster. The product will cost you around $700, and can handle powdery snow or that of the well-groomed variety.

  • It's not a 'tri' cycle, more a 'quad' as it has two large skis and two outriders.
Sorry. I should try to get out more – out of nitpicker mode I mean.
