ThermaPak Cooling Pads – cool your laptop without a fan

I’m intrigued by this ThermaPak laptop cooling pad technology. Primarily because it sounds too good to be true. I’m sceptical that something can move heat away from a laptop as effectively as a fan, but I’m willing to be convinced. Unfortunately the company refused to reply to my enquiry, so I’ll just have to remain doubtful. Around $27.92 depending on size.

ThermaPAK Laptop Cooling HeatShift Pad is the most effective solution against laptop computer heat. The HeatShift Pad performs better than fan based USB cooling devices. It uses ThermaPAK’s patented HeatShift Technology to dissipate heat away from your notbeook. It is made of a safe, laboratory tested chemical that has been proven to lower temperatures. It requires no power, no refrigeration, and generates no noise.

  • they really work, I’ve got one, for me and my partner, and we’ve both used them, the pads get liquid eventually under the hot parts of the computer. they’re kinda funny, put your hand on what looks like cloth, and you can feel it sucking heat away from your hand, more like a cool conductive metal.

  • So once the gels get "melted" into liquid… what happens??? Do they magically get run through a radiator?

Or do these pads work on the idea that you'll use the laptop for less than an hour?

  • It really works! I use mine everyday to keep my macbook cool and it also shields my legs from getting burned. totally worth the money!
