TimberFish creating sustainable pollution-free food

The integrative cycle of TimberFish technology

The idea that wood can be converted into fish food sounds like science fiction. But TimberFishin western New York state aims to do just that with its innovative proprietary biotechnology platform.

This new technology involves sustainably harvesting wood, converting it into already existing microbes, drying the residue, then splitting the difference half becoming fish food, half to create energy.

TimberFishs technology platform could transform food production on a global scale and could potentially be applied to any fish species, including shrimp. The systems multiple components sustainable forestry, biomass to energy, closed system water treatment, and the creation of a new food source encompass an integrated technology platform that goes the distance in effectively fighting climate change.

The technology results in high-quality fish production that creates a new food source in that it does not require fishmeal or grain as inputs. The technology is also its own water and waste treatment system and it produces a clean product with no contamination of the environment. Finally, the reestablishment and management of large tracts of forests will result in the sequestration of large quantities of atmospheric carbon and water and will provide new natural habitat to preserve the biodiversity and biodynamic stability of the global ecosystem.
