
The world is in trouble. Although much of the eco-problems we’re dealing with, the big contributors to climate change and pollution are at the feet of corporations, that doesn’t mean that we, the individuals of the world, shouldn’t do anything at all to try and make things better. This article has five pretty simple things you can start or think about starting this year.
Really, very simple things. Watch your consumption of goods, reuse what you can before you go buy new. That will save you money to which is always a nice thing. Avoid palm oil products. We’ve talked about their toll on the environment before. Read your labels, know what industries you’re supporting.
Some things the article suggests considering are eating a more plant based diet. Try to keep it local so you aren’t adding to emissions through shipping. Also test out composting and rainwater tanks. This isn’t feasible for everyone but if you have the space, why not give it a try for 2020? As we say around here, every little bit helps.
