The Touch Panel Phone. $29.99. Q. How much tech is too much tech, when embedded into something as simple as a home telephone? Answers on a backlit postcard, please, to .
According to Nikai-Osaka, this multi-function phone’s exceedingly thin design gives you an absolutely fresh feeling when you touch the blue LCD screen. Plus, it’s stylish design incorporates a caller ID function, speaker phone, music-on-hold, calculator, press-button sound and a perpetual calendar! With all these features, you’ll be blue in the face enjoying long-lasting conversations with friends, family, relatives and colleagues!
Its only $17 on Home Shopping Network, but read the reviews coming in for it! Looks cool, but is apparently a complete waste of money.

yeah, I saw this at a computer show I went to about 2 weeks ago. A guy was selling it for 20 buck. Cool idea, but it looked shoddy.
How many people do you expect to get the MC Hammer reference in the title of this piece?
Ah, but obscure musical references are so much fun, are they not? :-)
Michael, shoddy makes sense for $20.00. :-)
Hmm…the first review on HSN is quite illuminating –
I can not find any redeaming value about this phone. It does, however, get the award for being the first thing I have ever sent back to HSN
Hmm…
A cool phone, decent quality and speakerphone – not bad for 20 bucks. But, you can’t just pick up the handset and dial, you have to hit speakerphone always first if you’re initiating a call. If you’re answering, then it doesn’t matter. Does anyone know how to change the temp settings from Celsius (c) to farenheit (F) ? And to get rid of military time? Please email me…
