Treepex – not a biopunk gasmask, it’s an innovative tree planting system

A couple of weeks ago we talked about Treepex, a bio-punk sort of gas mask device. Well that was all a marketing scheme to advertise something that is very cool. Treepex is a platform to plant trees and allow people to track their growth.

This is sort of like those “Buy a Star” promotions, where you can “buy” a star and name it after yourself. The difference here is that with this company, you can watch the development of your tree, it’s more interactive in a way.

The company tracks each tree that it plants and you can keep track of it through the years from your computer or mobile devices. You may never see your tree but you will be able to know how it’s doing. If it’s thriving or whether or not it gets destroyed in a forest fire (no refunds for fires). You can plant your tree as a memorial or watch it grow with your child. Tree planting starts at $6.90.
