Trinus – the durable all metal 3D printer

TRINUS alone

So a lot of the machines we use in the home have internal parts made from plastic and other materials which makes them cheaper and lighter but it also means they wear out a lot faster. Something made from metal however, is built to last. That’s the thinking behind the Trinus, the metal 3D printer.

It doesn’t print metal, it’s is completely made of metal. All of the parts are steel and aluminum which means that they will last much longer than other models, even with heavy use. This very industrial (but sleek) looking 3D Printer prints in a variety of filaments so you can, of course, print plastic but also wood.

There is some assembly required but it is simple and you can switch between printing and laser engraving letting you take your project to the next level. What you make with this is totally up to you but with the functionality and durability of this printer, the sky is really the limit. It is currently being crowdfunded but expected to ship in August. You can pick one up with a pledge of $379.
