Do you have an old satellite dish lying around that you just don’t know what to do with? If it’s not pulling down a TV signal, the device is pretty much useless, right? Perhaps not. With a little hard work and elbow grease, it could be the perfect patriotic crime fighting weapon. That’s right, I’m talking about Captain America’s shield!

If you think about it, the old dish is the perfect shape and size. That’s what made one Instructables user decide to make the conversion and provide detailed instructions for the rest of us. It seems that the most difficult part is removing the bolt holes from where the dish connected to the mounting arm. I know what I’m doing the next time I come across one of these that’s not in use.
