uLock – tough, keyless bike lock aims to stop thieves before they start

ulock1

Christmas is just around the corner and maybe you are still looking for a secure way to lock your bike? Despite this being the season of spreading happiness and joy, it’s also the season of getting your bike stolen from outside your cool urban pad. But hey, now you can put a stop to all this with a simple tool.

The new uLock will make sure that your bike won’t budge, no matter how hard the Anti-Santa tries. The device will let you control your bike’s lock with your smartphone. But the important thing of course is how it prevents them from stealing the bike. Well the lock itself is made of ‘galvanized C40 steel, heat-treated to resist cuts, drills, the strongest hits and also the sneaky attack of rust, completely covered in a protective silicon platinic rubber to protect your bike from scratches’.  Do you feel better now?

The device connects to your smartphone via a dedicated app and Bluetooth 4.0 technology, and the app is available for both Android and iOS platforms. You can either tap your phone to unlock/lock it or you can set up a proximity trigger that will automatically lock your device when your phone goes out of the 3 meters range. You can also track the location of your bike through the app and share it with your friends. The uLock is available for €149.00 via uLock.me.

  • i wanted to ask the question to ulock company but they have no contact links on their website, so i do not buy from someone i cannot contact.

the question is, what if something goes wrong and i am unable to unlock, how do i get my scooter back?
