Anyhoo, for those who do a lot of conversions, here’s a nice little free smartphone tool for Android.

Unit Converter does nothing different to other such conversion tools, but it does have a nicely easy interface. And that can make all the difference if you want to find a conversion in a hurry. The main thing is you get to see all the conversions on one screen, with no scrolling or paging needed. Fast!

We also like the intelligent landscape mode, which is great for tablets of course, and which displays the calculator type entry buttons alongside your conversion data for quick changes. Again it makes it a snap to get things done. It may not be quite as comprehensive as other unit converters we’ve looked at (for example no fl oz to g conversion in cooking), but what it does do, is done well.
