Slot Furniture – ‘no screws, no tools, no glue’. Taking flat pack to the next level?

Paul Shenton, Slot Furniture’s designer, struck upon the concept in 1998 having just moved into an unfurnished attic flat that was on the 4th floor and only accessible via a narrow and twisting staircase. Paul trawled round the shops looking for furniture that he could firstly afford and, secondly, actually get up the stairs into his new flat, but could find nothing suitable. He set about designing his own simple range of furniture, the key factor being that it must be easy to assemble and as easy to take apart. And so the SlotSystem� was born!’
