USB without the PC

The new USB to Go specification is designed to let devices talk together down a USB cable without having to insert a PC into the chain. Think digital cameras hooking up to mobile phones or printers directly, that sort of thing.

It’s a supplement to the USB 2.0 spec, and of course is sort of a competitor to things like Bluetooth and Firewire, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
