Use an old credit card to organize your cables

There are two kinds of people in this world; those who don’t care about messy cables, and those who are driven crazy by them. If you fall into the latter category, you will probably go to great lengths to make sure that everything is nice an neat behind your desk. Well here’s a handy little tip that might just help you with that tangled mess.

If you need a quick and simple way to hold your cables in place, you need look no further than your wallet. If you have any of those customer loyalty cards that you’re not using, or an expired credit card, it can be the perfect cable organizer. All you need to do is use a hole punch for each cable, then use a pair of scissors to make cuts up to the holes. Then attach the card to your desk however you like. Feed the cables into the holes you’ve made, and you’re done. If you want more detailed instructions, see this Instructables guide.
