Vetigel – this plant gel will stop your pet’s bleeding

vetigel-in-syringe

Usually we look at gadgets as the future of our health but plants still have some pretty amazing life saving qualities. Well, when applied properly to animals that is. Vetigel is the plant based bandage gel for many of your veterinary needs.

This is a gel that can be used to stop moderate bleeding in animals. It’s recommended to be used on things like dental procedures, spays and neuters, lacerations, or nail clippings. The “bandage” is applied with a syringe and bonds the wound, stopping bleeding and promoting natural clotting to take place.

I have no idea what’s in this stuff other than it’s some sort of natural plant matter, so safe for your pet to lick off because you know they will. Once a good clot has formed, the excess can be removed with a wipe, but until the wipe is applied, it’s stuck there. Or until your pet gets to it, as previously mentioned. An interesting product and if it works, can save a lot of worry for pet owners over minor boo boos.
