Vintage Broadcasting.

One for Brits of a certain age again. The Vintage Broadcasting site features lots of super groovy vintage broadcast stuff. Watch With Mother, pirate radio stations, the first advert on UK television (Gibbs SR toothpaste) and all kinds of oldie muffins. The awesome clip

of the start of commercial TV in the UK in September 1955 nearly made me pass out with the nostalgia rush.

“…the rights of free speech and fair play, our own particular brand of tolerance…Zero hour is on us. Here high above the heart of old London we salute you…” Priceless.

Check out also the fantabulous Offshore Music Radio site, which features a permanent Live365 feed of pirate radio music from the 60s and 70s.
