VMeter USB Midi Controller will let you fingerpaint with music

Vmeter
Vast amounts of modern day music and art are now made on a computer. There’s nothing wrong with this, of course. However, there is quite a bit of disconnect between being able to actually see a musician playing a real instrument and watching someone press a multitude of buttons. Both require skill mind you, but much of the visual aspect has been removed.

If you are an electronic artist who wants to reconnect with their audience on this level, then something like the VMeter USB Midi Controller might be useful. This will work with just about any software, and will function as anything you can come up with. The blue LEDs that are in it will give you a visual reference of your available range, and if one isn’t enough, you can hook up as many as you have USB ports for and they’ll still all play nicely. This board will recognize position, pressure, touch/release, and a pitch output. One of these will cost around $60, and will let you show off your music in a whole new way.
