Volatile vinyl.

An interesting US article suggesting that the traditional multiple track music album may be on its way to oblivion. Sounds plausible.

But on the other hand, I had a fascinating conversation the other evening with the very nice David Price, editor of Hi-Fi World magazine, and he was telling me that vinyl albums are actually making a comeback, and not just with club DJs. Apparently trendy yuppie types are buying gorgeous record decks like the Michel Orbe above as status symbols, because they look great and – gasp – sound fantastic!
