The WattsClever Alkaline Battery Charger is designed to charge up ordinary household batteries, like those dud Duracells you’ve got in the kitchen drawer. It manages to do this by using a microprocessor to minutely control the trickle charge so the batteries don’t overheat and die.
Apparently you can recharge batteries up to 20 times, although their capacity will diminish each time you do. Not cheap at $50.95/£31.97, but could be worth it if you’re forever throwing away dud toy batteries.
If your normal alkaline batteries aren’t completely dead, they really CAN be recharged with the WattsClever Alkaline Battery Charger. In fact, you can recharge your AA or AAA alkaline batteries 10-20 times (depending on their quality and age). And you can also recharge Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries. Just imagine how much money you’ll save on batteries?!
