You don’t have to go full vegan but the evidence is pretty clear that cutting down on your meat intake can really help with climate change. A new report solidifies the call for people in the west to cut down on their meat and dairy intake to help with the climate crisis.
Ranching contributes to the climate crisis in a big way. Sure there are a ton of jokes about cow farts, and although they have some merit as far as their production of methane gas, that’s not the only problem. There’s also the mass amounts of deforestation that must be done to support such practices.
Cutting down on meat and moving to diets that are heavier in plant life can really help counteract that. This isn’t a call to give up burgers forever. Try a meatless Monday for starters, work your up to a meatless three of four times a week and see how it goes. If you get creative, you might not even miss it.
