Weather Watcher – turn your computer into a superb weather station

If you’re into weather, then you’re going to love love love Weather Watcher. We’re talking a beautifully arranged and fully featured Windows freeware application which delivers everything you’ll need for tracking your weather forecasts of choice (apart from 100% certainty of course). The main feature is the at a glance city forecast which covers all the important bits in a great interface. You can track by hour or via the 9 day tab, along with a barometer and wind tracker.

That’s nice enough, but there’s also a user customisable maps feature, which lets you select from a raft of satellite maps for your area or even continent – animated and static. By the time you finish customising your settings you’re going to know everything you need to know about the weather in your area. For a quick view just mouseover the task bar for a detailed summary of current conditions. There are too many features to detail here, but suffice to say this is an awesome application all round.

Weather Watcher is your personal Windows desktop weather station. Automatically retrieve the current conditions, hourly forecast, daily forecast, and detailed forecast as reported by The Weather Channel, severe weather alerts from NWS (US only), and weather maps for over 77,000 cities world-wide. The current conditions can be quickly viewed by holding your mouse pointer over the Weather Watcher system tray icon. Weather Watcher will allow you to automatically retrieve your weather data at a set interval, display the current temperature in a customized tray icon, display the current condition image in a tray icon…
