What if your guitar never needed to be tuned?

Anyone who plays a stringed instrument likely has a tuner, or magical tuning powers. (aka perfect pitch) For those of us who don’t have super human capabilities, we have to use a tuner, and hope that it is functioning correctly so we don’t mess up the song we’re about to play. However, even if we’re right in the middle of a song the strings can still work their way out of tune.

The Evertune Bridge is about to change all that crazy mid-show tuning forever. It uses springs that pull on the string with constant force. Whenever you adjust the tuning pegs, it adjusts the spring to keep the same tension and stays in tune. This means you only have to tune it a fraction of the number of times you would normally. However, if you’re playing something sort of bluesy, with a lot of string bending and pulling, the Evertune may not be such a great idea. It has the appearance of a very practical item, but with a $330 price tag, you may not want to put money on this unless you have a very specific need for it.
