Whspr – receive emails without revealing your email address

Whspr is a new online service which converts your email address into a short Web address which you can post or hand out as needed. Anyone who needs to write to you then visits the address and posts their text into a standard web form, which then delivers the message to your real email inbox.

We’ve covered something like this before…um…can’t remember what it was, anyway, suffice to say this is similar to the other one. Tsk, fading memory. It certainly could be useful for things like online classified advertising or even offline adverts where you don’t want to give out your address. And the fact you can set the address up to expire in anything up to a year is also useful. Worth remembering.

What is whspr!? Need to receive a message by email, but can’t (or don’t want to) give out your email address? whspr! gives you a URL to share instead…When you create a whspr! URL, your email address remains hidden to those who send you messages. When someone sends you a message, he or she must provide an email address where they can be reached.
