Those of us who own a laptop are prone to carrying it around wherever we go. However, we don’t always want to use the built-in trackpad, as it’s a bit awkward. The best option is to get a wireless mouse, but that isn’t always a great move, as you have to have a flat, smooth surface to move around on. Oftentimes we will migrate to the couch, even though it is covered in uneven or curved surfaces and is the birthplaces of dust bunnies. Needless to say, you’ll be cleaning the sensor out every two or three minutes to regain functionality.

Logitech knows of our woes and has crafted a solution. Dubbed the Couch Mouse M515, it comes with a sealed bottom that keeps the sensor safe from fuzz and dust. It does have an on and off switch, but it only activates when you grip it. It uses 2 AA batteries, but says that it can go for up to about two years without a battery change. Costing only $15, this is a great option for laptop users who like to move from place to place.
