Yogo – the first electric scooter with removable batteries

Yogo

The Yogo Electric Scooter. Well it took long enough, but they’ve finally delivered an electric scooter to the market which has a removable battery. Which means that a) you can now charge the thing in your kitchen without having to trail a cable across walls and asphalt and b) you can carry an extra battery to give yourself longer range.

The Lithium battery pack gives a max range of 22 miles and charges up in an hour, which is pretty awesome. The top speed of 30 mph is fine for urban commuting. Strangely enough the makers have included an immobiliser alarm, which would seem to be somewhat redundant if you remove the battery to charge, but hey, what do we know? The price of this luxury tech is £1999.00.

The Yogo is the UKs first and only full production electric scooter featuring removable lithium batteries. The Yogo is the perfect mix of style and grace with a coveted vigour that lends itself to the sleek, retro exterior and explosive power caged in our 50V battery. Compromise nothing with our high powered lithium batteries. Shorter charges, longer ranges, greater capabilities, giving you more power to go further.

  • What? Was Yugo taken?. Just kiddin'.

  • Brilliant, I will now consider getting one of these. Hope you can turn off the immobiliser/alarm. I wouldn't want it draining the battery. :(
