ZoneGuard is one sleek…weather alert radio?

When I think of an alert radio, I think of functionality. If a storm rolls in that knocks the power out, you’re going to want to know what’s going on, so you turn to your radio. Emergency weather radios we’ve seen before have had flashlights, a T.V., and convenient handles if you need to move to a safer location. Of course, there are always different ends of the spectrum for any product, and a weather alert radio doesn’t have to be completely decked out in emergency gear.

The ZoneGuard looks more like a tablet than a radio, but will keep you in the loop for what mother nature is cooking up. Simply enter you county code, and if there’s any sort of alert going out, you’ll know through flashing red, orange, and green lights. This radio also has an alarm clock, and all are displayed on an LCD display. This runs on either AA batteries, or an AC adapter. It’ll cost you $40, and can store up to 25 different county locations.
