My Deco Plan My Room. New online tool provides a virtual 3D roomscape which you can decorate to your heart’s content. Add furniture, change the carpets, re-adjust your own furniture. You can even upload your own photo and start playing around with your actual colour schemes. It’s very nicely done, and more importantly it’s fast, so you can see your changes almost immediately, from any angle you want.

Of course it’s all tied in to real life sales of furnishings, so you’ll find a full catalogue of just about everything you’ll need, from desk lamps to very expensive beds and appliances. There’s also a full community, blogs and other features and services on the site, which makes it feel like a very comprehensive home maker resource. Just check out the celebrity ‘looks’ (which you can literally order online) if you want to see what we mean. It’s still early days for the service, so expect some broken pieces, but overall this is probably one of the best examples of this type of service I’ve seen.
