Rules of Thumb dot org. We’ve all used them at one time or another, those useful little nuggets of folk wisdom that help us save time and money. You know the type of thing, ‘If you don’t want a cat to jump into your lap, don’t make eye contact with it’. Well now you can browse and search for rules of thumb covering a plethora of useful topics ranging from home improvement and money tips, to health and pets. It’s great, I could hang out here all day, really I could. And remember guys, ‘Always let an attractive woman know that you think she’s smart and let a smart woman know that you think she’s attractive.’

With this website, you have at your fingertips all the best rules of thumb I’ve collected since book number one plus everything voted into the Main Collection by online contributors like you. Each rule is followed by a source, or rumored source, or the name of the first person who sent it to me. The people listed are not necessarily claiming a rule of thumb as their own invention. A lot of contributors have sent in rules they heard from someone else.
