Zmeil – recover lost or deleted emails in a disaster scenario

zmeil small Zmeil recover lost or deleted emails in a disaster scenario

The Zmeil email recovery program is not freeware, but it’s one of those packages that will pay for itself several times over if you need to use it in anger. The software will recover corrupt and deleted messages from most mainstream email clients including Outlook, Outlook Express and Thunderbird, as well as Eudora and The Bat! The program scans your hard disk for message bases and extracts data from any corrupt files it finds. Simple Simon. Priced at $39.95 and there’s a free trial available which rescues 9 messages as a demo.

Zmeil attempts to locate the message databases for known email client programs automatically. If this fails, the list of the databases will be empty. In this case, use “Add file” or “Search” buttons to add the required message database files to the list. Typically, the list will be pre-populated as shown below. Zmeil automatically locates the email database files for the most common email clients, namely Microsoft Outlook, MS Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora, or TheBat!
