CyberSearch – most excellent Firefox add-on puts Google search in the address bar

Cybersearch

One of the things I like most about Google’s Chrome web browser is the ability to search Google directly from the address bar, and now some enterprising folk have delivered the same functionality to Firefox. The CyberSearch add-on lets you type your search term directly in the Firefox address bar and drops down a live results list as you type. It’s a fabulous tool for saving time, although it will never replace the full Google search page for in-depth research needs. A must-have install.

Adds advanced Google Search capabilities to the Firefox 3 address bar. Supercharge the “Awesome Bar” with instant search results that appear as you type!…You can search Google Web, Local, Videos, Blogs, News, Books, Images, and Patents. Plus you can restrict some types of Google searches to specific sites!
