Find free images fast – Creative Commons and Public Domain image filters hit the search engines at last

Googleimages2

Google is in the process of officially introducing a useful filter to its image search in order to help folk find free Creative Commons and public domain images. It’s a fine idea and well overdue, so a round of applause please.

…and look, Yahoo! Image Search already offers the same for Flickr image searches…so double cheer.

Finding a great image online elicits a little thrill, but it can be tricky – if you’re looking for a pic to pop into a presentation or illustrate a Web page, you need to know if you’re allowed to use that photo, and how you can use it. Today, Yahoo! Image Search is launching a Creative Commons license filter that allows you to simply and quickly find images that are available for reuse.
