PhotoJoy is a free program from the Incredimail people designed to help you make the most of all those digital photos lying around on your hard disks. It’s structured like the wallpaper products, in that you install the client which then accesses web based templates, so you’ll need an Internet connection to get the best out of it.

Once installed you can set up screensavers, desktop widgets and wallpaper ‘collages’ into which the software will stream your choice of holiday snaps and arty images, and there’s also an option to make use of professional photos if yours aren’t up to the task. It takes a fair while to install the thing, and it’s a little too Windows centric for our tastes, but the idea is sound. And we like the idea you can merge your Flickr and locally stored photos into the same display gallery. Take a look and see what you think.
