DeleteMe is a cool new service which helps you regain control of your online personality by deleting accounts you no longer wish to maintain. Just sign up for the particular account you need vaporizing and the DeleteMe team will go off and do the deed for you. No hassle, no time-wasting.
The service costs $10 per account, and as well as covering the obvious targets like MySpace, Facebook, Hotmail, AOL, eHarmony etc, they’ll also remove your details from Google search results, YouTube videos, blog posts, catalog mail and various store databases. They’ll also take on custom account deletion if your particular account requirement is not listed.
Real paranoid types will also love the Find My Old Accounts service, which for $50 will find all the old online accounts you may have forgotten about and delete those for you. There’s a waiting list for this service, note, so you might want to put your name down now. Sounds pretty awesome to us!
Sounds good, but how do you do it? It’s not magic, or even anything complicated or tricky. It’s just hard work. But we’re good at it. Our DeleteMe experts know the companies, privacy policies, and procedures of all these companies. So we know what and who to email, phone, fax and mail letters to at all the different companies involved and get them to take action.
