Intellitouch PT40 Tuner is rechargeable, uses vibrations for tuning

I’ve been trying to learn to play the guitar for a while now. I’m still not very good, but that’s a different story. One thing I’ve learned in my time with the instrument is that not all tuners were created equal. In fact, I really don’t like those that depend solely on sound emitted from the guitar to tune. If I can plug in a cable for a direct connection, I’ll do it, even if it is a bit of a hassle. Another option is this Intellitouch PT40.

This tuner clips on to your instrument and relies on the vibrations created to analyze the pitch of your string. It uses a nice big LCD screen to see your note, and gets its juice from a rechargeable lithium ion battery, which I can appreciate. I’d say this tuner is worth the $50 they’re asking.
