Steampunk external hard drive enclosure

hdd 1 Steampunk external hard drive enclosure

Look at your desk. Do the things sitting on it look a little to modern? I mean, that sleek LCD panel and flashy external drive just scream “21st century”. How about changing things up a bit, and going back to the 19th century. Better yet, why not 19th century science fiction? That’s right, I’m talking about adding some steampunk flair to your setup.

Will Rockwell has designed a particularly awesome external hard drive case that looks as if it would sit on Captain Nemo’s desk, if he had a computer. Made with walnut veneer and brass edging, you can see gears at work and real steam comping from the chimney. If you need a little extra power, just pull the surge lever and watch the steam really come out. It will fit virtually any external hard drive that you want to put inside. If you want to have it on your desk, you’ll have to pay the fee of $1,200.
