It’s a fact of life that no matter how cool or useful the technology, or how good looking the design, we all want more. Take music headsets for instance. These little marvels manage to convert digital signals from our mobile phones and MP3 players into lush sounding musical tones, while sitting beautifully snuggly in our ear. Yet despite their excellence, we still want more. Specifically we don’t want wires, particularly cables tethering us to the player source.
Cue the Jabra Sport Bluetooth Wireless Headset, which takes the concept of free living to a ridiculous extreme by using wireless connectivity to transfer the music (or voice calls) from phone to our ear. That’s right, no cables, no restrictions. Keep your phone in your handbag, pocket or rucksack, clip on the headset and enjoy. Of course there’s always a penalty for this kind of progress, and in this case it’s the fact that you need to charge up the tiny batteries inside the headset, but it’s a small price to pay for freedom, right?

The device delivers good quality sound, and also features a handy FM radio for those times when your own sounds are unavailable. The blurb says up to 4.5 hours of talk time in Bluetooth handsfree phone mode, and a whopping 4 days standby. What’s more, they can connect to two audio sources at the same time. Priced at $68.36 or £72.98.
