When I was younger, going to the pool meant playing pretend for hours on end. Thinking back, I can definitely remember playing some sort of mermaid game with a group of friends (which did include boys as well). If we got a hold of swim fins for your hands or feet we thought we were pretty big stuff.
While those years have long since past, I can definitely imagine how ecstatic I would’ve been if my parents had gotten me a Swimmable Mermaid Tail. These are custom made mono-fins that are made out of top-of-the line swim fabric. Yes, you are supposed to swim in them, and they do cost quite a bit. Approximately $250 to be exact. Should you want to make your kid’s pretend time go to a whole new level, this is the way to do it. You can choose between green, blue, red, orange, and fushia-pink, and they will all have a sparky and reflective finish.
It's really hard to escape, while wearing these, if there's a fire in the pool area – or a bomb alert.
