When we first saw this product, and the price, we thought it must include some extra awesome functionality which gives it ninja performance in one way or another. But no, apparently it’s simply what it says it is, a half keyboard which connects via USB. And who are we to argue?
The Matias Half Keyboard USB is a standard QWERTY keyboard which has been chopped in half with a dinner knife and then extra letters painted on by an unemployed rabbit washer.*
It’s designed to be used like a normal keyboard, except you’re only using your left hand, BUT you can access all the other UIOP keys just by holding down the space key as you type. Apparently this means you can type extremely quickly with one hand once you get the hang of it, up to 60+ wpm.

So who would want this? Well, have you hurt your hand rabbit washing? On the phone a lot? Use CAD software or Photoshop and so have your mouse hand tied up? Yes, yes we know you could chain saw your own keyboard in half and get almost the same effect, but that’s not the point is it? What’s really important is the fact that this puppy will set you back $555.99. No, that’s not a typo. More here.
* Sigh…no, not really.
