Robot Wet & Dry Mop – cleans while you play away

For some people a clean floor is not just important, it’s an absolute obsession. In fact in some countries you are likely to be thrown in jail if you repeatedly mess up the streets, so goodness knows what the penalty is for having a grubby bit of lino at home.

For all you fanatics out there, this here Robot Wet & Dry Mop promises to make your life a joy and pleasure once again. The device comes with a set of microfibre cloths to sweep across hard floors for dirt and a set of mopping cloths for, well washing the floor. The whole thing is controlled by a dinky little cube which contains the navigation system for the mop.

The rechargeable battery will deliver up to four hours of cleaning per charge, and up to 2.5 hours of washing and the thing will recharge in four hours. We haven’t seen it in action yet, so we can’t comment on its effectiveness, but what we do know is these robots are definitely improving year by year. The Neato carpet cleaning robot we tested a while back was very impressive both in terms of cleaning and navigational ability, so we would expect other types of cleaning robots to improve over time to the same degree.

This electronic mop retails for $349.95.
