Nowadays it doesn’t matter whether you’re running or riding, the urge is to track what’s happening and not just do a bit of passive exercise. There’s all sorts of tools you can use of course, and the advent of smartphones has made it even easier, but there’s still a big demand for something which can be worn on the wrist to give instant feedback as you go.
The Polar RC3 GPS Sports Watch delivers a whole slew of sensor information which can track your running or cycling efficiency with a click. The device includes integrated GPS as you would expect, along with a heart rate monitor strap and a cadence sensor which can tell you how well your legs are working in that saddle.
The in-built GPS gives you readouts on route, speed and distance and the rechargeable battery will run the device for 12 hours continuous which should be enough for anyone. It also looks pretty sporty with that yellow motif, which we think probably has something to do with the yellow jersey in the Tour de France. The whole kit is priced at $309.95.
