Doctor Who: Legacy for iOS and Android [Freeware] – 50 years of time and space on your smartphone

Doctor Who: Legacy

Maybe you’ll never be lucky enough to have a madman in a blue box appear out of nowhere and whisk you away from your boring life, but you can still escape into a timey-wimey universe for exciting adventures through time and space.

Doctor Who: Legacy for iOS and Android puts the power of the Doctor in your hands. Following a premise that fits the show perfectly, an old enemy is traveling through time, changing events to bring about the ultimate war. Since the actual Doctor is busy celebrating his 50th anniversary and getting ready for the Christmas special, it’s up to you to stand in for the Time Lord, choosing which Doctor you’ll portray and assembling a team made up of Companions and allies from the Whovian universe.

Currently, Season 7 and Season 6 are available, with Season 5’s release planned for early 2014. According to the creators of the game, “as long as you want us to release new adventures, allies and enemies we will. We won’t rest until we’ve released an adventure based on An Unearthly Child.”

All the Doctor’s adventures are free and there’s no energy system to keep you from playing whenever you get the urge to take on a few Daleks, Cybermen, or Weeping Angels, so grab your sonic screwdriver smartphone and see if you have what it takes to save time and space.
