Shift Self-Bending Paperclip – Science? Magic? Both?

Shift Self-Bending Paperclip

You could travel to exotic lands, track down masters of the mystic arts, and spend a lifetime attempting to learn the cosmic secrets that will allow you to perform one simple mind-blowing trick that will astound your friends and family… or you can try this.

Don’t get us wrong. There’s absolutely nothing bad about traveling the globe in search of mystic powers, but the Shift Self-Bending Paperclip works just as well for people who don’t have time for all that other stuff.

Magicians never reveal their secrets, and the same rule must apply with the gang at Ellusionist.com because they’re very tight-lipped about the technology (magic?) that makes this cool-looking trick work, but work it does, as you can see with your own eyes in the video below.

Basically, all you need to master in order to impress people around you is how to hold the paperclip. From there, it’s all in the fingertips as the bent wire slowly contorts and bends itself into a perfect paperclip. You can even place the wire in someone else’s hand and watch them freak out as it slowly folds itself as if it were a living thing.

Will the Shift Self-Bending Paperclip make you more productive at home or work? Probably not, and it might actually have the opposite effect, but it’s fun, and with it priced at $55, it’s a lot more obtainable than travelling the globe in search of dusty scrolls or wise old men.

  • As far as using it to pick-up girls, you missed a splendid opportunity with this form-memory metal clip.
I would do the trick differently: make it “remember” a heart-shaped form, then sell it bent under the paper clip form.

The trick would be to make it revert to its heart shaped form when warmed in the lady’s hand….

  • Very cool…. but not $55 worth of cool lol
