We’ve heard of some crazy ideas in our time, but whoever came up with the concept of creating a smartphone dock out of 570g of pure concrete definitely needs help. For one thing, everyone knows that concrete and phones don’t mix. If you’ve ever tried dropping your handset on some, you’ll know what we mean.
But hey, the guys behind the Massive Dock think they know what they’re doing. The thing is apparently hand polished, cured and sealed by small elves working in underground caves, after which it is attached to some rubber suction pads to allow for one handed operation.
Speaking of which, we’re suckers for a good story, so we’re going to do a pass on our usual cynicism and say well done on using an ancient, crude, ugly material to craft something which could almost pass as high tech beautiful. The dock costs €59.90 and comes with a Lightning connector for iPhone 5 handsets.
