Free RSS thingy.

Abilon

Abilon. Yet another free RSS reader. Isn’t Abilon that lawless town in old John Wayne movies? Or is that…?

Abilon displays headlines from RSS (Rich Site Summary – Really Simple Syndication) Channels in an easy to read format. It is small (about 500 kb), fast, and free. Adding new channels is as simple as right-clicking and entering the address of the feed.

Red – who has written posts on The Red Ferret Journal.

  • I’ve used Abilon after floating from reader to reader for months. It’s better than RSS Reader, better than FeedReader, better than all that cruft.

Sharp Reader also seems to be quite robust in my experience.
