Portable Solar Powered Air Purifier – zap smells, dust, bugs and more on the go

Who doesn’t like fresh air? The problem is, however, we live in times where the general quality of air doesn’t really inspire confidence, unless you happen to be lucky enough to live on a tropical lagoon far from industry and roads. Using air purifiers is a solution, but there aren’t many portable ones you can take with you, which will cope with anything larger than a car interior. But now this new Portable Solar Powered Air Purifier looks like it might do the job nicely.

The device comes complete with a range of air fixing tools built in, including active carbon HEPA, an ozonator, Anion and ionizer and general filters for other nasty stuff. The whole thing is also contained in a very svelte shape, which houses a 600 mAh rechargeable battery as well as DC power input option.

The idea is you can plug it in when you’re stationary for a while (e.g. in a boat, caravan or RV) and unplugged when you’re roaming such as in a hotel or car etc. We’re guessing that the solar panel is too small to do anything more than just keep the battery from depleting too quickly, so extending battery run time.

The specs say the product can cope with spaces up to around 20 square meters, which seems pretty reasonable for such a small unit. The purifier is priced at $61.02 / £39.99.
