Freebook Sifter – 57,000 free e-books, constantly updated [Freeware]

Enjoy reading? OK with e-books? Then you’ll probably really like this free e-book search engine. Freebook Sifter trawls the web for free e-book offerings and delivers them either via email or on the website itself. Very cool.

The site currently offers up around 57,000 free e-books across a wide range of categories, including Business, Science Fiction, Romance and all the other major options. If you’ve got a passion, you’ll probably find something here to enjoy.

As well as serving up Amazon books, the site also finds e-books on Kobo, Barnes & Noble and various country versions of Amazon. So don’t despair if you’re in France or Spain. We also like the fact that the site offers a number of ways to find stuff. You can subscribe to an email list into your inbox, or subscribe to an RSS feed. The only shame is you can’t subscribe to a single category, you have to get information on all new free books, which is a bit of a shame.

But all in all, this is a great way to keep your personal book library up to date and bristling with interesting stuff to read while you’re on the go. Do be aware though, that a lot of these free books are only available for limited periods, so it’s best to stick to recent releases if you want to be sure of getting a bargain.
