  • PHDarren .

I subscribed to your weekly newsletter but it didn’t register the +3 entries on this this competition,

    • Hmm…that doesn’t sound right at all. Apologies. The problem is we’re not in control of that part, it’s all down to the Gleam system. Can you let me know your email? Don’t put it here, but send me an email or use our contact form at http://www.redferret.net/?page_id=36036

      Sorry again.

    • Steve Lane

I am having the same problem!

      • You need to ensure you fill in the box at the bottom with the email you used so it can be tracked. Otherwise it doesn’t register.

  • Dermit Roi

thank you for making it uk only, now I have a chance of actually winning lol

  • SIMONE LEE

super prizes good luck to all

  • Stevie

Very nice, I’m still wary of security on Windows 10 though.

    • Yeah, it’s not looking too good.

      • Stevie

It’s a shame really. I’m sticking with Win7 for now. Maybe Linux in the future.

        • RCDavis

We downgrade new computers to Win7, and that is actually one of our purchase requirements (that the new hardware will run under Win7)

          • Stevie

I’d rather have Win7, they seem to make a good one then a not so good one. I had Vista for ages while I was learning.

          • Ouch, we didn’t like Vista at ALL. :)

          • Stevie

I wonder if anyone still uses it. I think it’s still on my old machine. Nobody liked Vista.

          • Truly gruesome operating system. :) We went to town on it 7 years ago. http://www.redferret.net/?p=11957

          • Stevie

How long have you been running redferret?

          • 15 years. :)

          • Definitely a sensible move. I’m thinking of moving all over to Linux.

          • Bob

I’ve been trying out Evolution as a front end. It’s quite user-friendly and not scary. Can’t quite seem to make the final break though.

          • You mean elementary OS? :)

          • Bob

That’s the one. I suppose you’ll know if I go back and edit it so I don’t look daft ;)

          • Edit away. :)

          • Bob

I’m have to have my stupidity on public record (again) Hey, it’s not like I need to apply for a job or anything.

  • RCDavis

Fun to have promotions, but are the overwhelming majority of your users in the UK?

I mean, if they are, and I’m the odd man out, fair enough. Yet if your readership is actually global as I suspect, why let an advertiser dictate to whom your contests apply?

    Love your blog

    R

    • Er… we have to let the advertiser dictate the geo-location because they supply the prizes. No prizes, no giveaway. We do try and do global giveaways as much as we can (this is only the 2nd UK only one we’ve done I believe) but we have to go with the pragmatic reality of life. :) Thanks for the kind words too. :)

  • Sara Goodman

Amazing giveaway, thanks SO much :)

  • Rachel Heap

    wow fab prize

  • KarenLou Williams

would be over the moon to win this super competition ty

  • Bob

Visit Redferret on Google+?? Is that still a thing?

    • Good point. Well it’s still there in existence, with millions of users. So I guess so. :)

      • Bob

My guess would be that there are millions of “users” without a clue what they’re supposed to do. I imagine their server farm has tumbleweed blowing through it.

        • Bob

and PS your competition doesn’t like my VPN!
          (terrible spelling I know)

  • Kim W

Every time i go and try to write my email address in the sign up box it takes me to the site again to resign! So i can’t get my 3 bonus points :(

    • Hi Kim, that’s a bit weird. What are you trying to sign up for?

  • Miliya Kerr

    Wanna win this so bad!

Its really amazing and kind that you have partnered up with Argos to do a giveaway! I’m sure that everyone who entered thinks the same as me!

Good luck to everyone with entering!

  • Bob

Do you need my address yet?
