Click Click Click – this plain website is pretty addictive

click-click-click

Some parts of the internet are weird. Click Click Click is one of the oddest websites I’ve encountered in a while. The point is to show you how much your computer can pick up from your simple movements but this site has sort of gamified it.

All this site contains is a blank screen and big green button. Once you start moving around though, a voice pops up and the site begins to catalogue your activity as you do it. There’s not much to do, it would seem at first but all is not what it seems. You see, as you start to use the site, you get achievements.

You can collect the 115 achievements that are all centered around moving the mouse and pressing the button. Strangely addictive, just for the goal of getting all the things but not terribly challenging. The voice is also strange. It’s soothing but also a little creepy. Check out Click Click Click for yourself.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.
